An Interesting Question and Answer

A question was asked to me the other day, one which put me on the spot and got me thinking. I’m not a math wizard, by any means, but I have heard of things in passing over my couple years in the programming field.

Say you have an arbitrary length array of numbers. The type of numbers in this array is irrelevant. There can be duplicates, but again, irrelevant. If you given a random number, how would you determine if the array contained two numbers which summed to this random number.

I saw this a couple weeks back, and recently saw it come up again on Joystiq.  It’s one of those games that you can’t help but play over and over again.  Check it out, you won’t play another game again: You Have To Burn the Rope

Wedding Date Set

So Elan (my fiance) and I got engaged on March 18th, 2008.  We officially set a date for our wedding this past weekend.

September 12, 2009

We’ll be getting married in Milwaukee, WI.  Not sure on the church, but it’s gotta have a center isle.  The reception will be happening at Lakefront Brewery.

Job Screening

So, I recently started looking for jobs to expand my career and skill set.  I applied at a local “dot-com” about a week ago and got a call-back yesterday!  I’ll hold off on saying what company, for now, but I’m very excited about this opportunity and will let you know how it goes.  The call-back is for an HR screen, so having not interviewed in about four years, it’s time to brush up on my questions/answers.

Wish me luck.

Kobe Jumps an Aston Martin

I have to say, the moment I saw this video, I was amazed. Fake, most definitely, but does it start buzz? I’d say so. It builds off of the YouTube craze with big stars trying to get into the action. Will it sell those Nike shoes, that I’m not sure of, but I still think it’s a good video.
